OK. Finally got around to getting a new pic. This time I even used a flash so that you can see it better.
I saw this the other night in Furqan on my way home. It’s near the mosque, which needs to be photographed as well, but I feel self-conscious. If I can get a better pic, I’ll replace this one which is “eh”.

Where did find it, I never saw it….man you knew things about my city more than I do
.
anyway, If you really wanna see great waterwheel you should pay HAMA city a visti.
Take a look at this shot, I caught it summer 2007, a local was hestating to jump, so I shout at him: “JUMPPPPPPPPPP !” so he did it.

If you go there, ask for the old town, and visit the “KASER AL AZEM” you will be amazed.

ok, I live in Furqan, and haven’t really noticed that one, where is it in Furqan man? and which mosque do you mean? Abdullah Bin Abbas? the other big one?

I live there too, but I know squat about the area except that it lacks hubble bubble (that I know of). I think the wheel is one or two blocks away from Luxury World (and away from the big road). I have no idea which mosque I was talking about, though. It’s the nice-looking one near Luxury World. If I recall, the other one is closer to the edge of Furqan (closer to Jdeideh?).
You’d think after being here for eight months, I’d've gotten a map, but no.

lol…I second that, that IS a waterwheel, but you should check out the old ones in Homs and Hamah if you ever travel to sham, they have some historical significance or whatnot.
